We collect information during the payment process in order to process your payment, and to deliver the online content to you. The information obtained during your purchase or transaction may include your name, address, method of payment, credit card number, and billing information. This information may be collected both by us, and our payment processing companies, Stripe and Paypal. This information is encrypted throughout the purchase and delivery process.

We may also use this information for purposes such as collecting recurring payments (e.g. if purchasing a recurring membership), and resolving disputes.

If you purchase a membership, we may display some of your information on the Food Photography Academy sales pages to promote your purchase to prospective customers. The only personal data that would be shared is your first name, and location (city, country).

How long we retain your personal information

Where personal data is controlled and processed directly by Short Media Enterprises, we will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to continue providing these services and to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy and data policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Should you believe that our processing of your personal data is in anyway unlawful, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Before doing so, we would request that you contact us with your concerns, as we will always endeavour to deal with these as soon as possible.

As Short Media Enterprises is registered and operates in Switzerland, the jurisdiction of this privacy and data policy is according to the law of Switzerland. Complaints should therefore be lodged with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Changes to this data and privacy policy

We regularly review and, where necessary, update our privacy and data policy with new, additional or changed information.

If we plan to use your personal data in a new way that is not covered in this privacy and data policy, we will update the policy and communicate these changes to you before we begin this processing.
